Hanna Bakland was one of the participants of the Masterclass in Dialogue Facilitation taking place on the Nansen Center for Peace and Dialogue from April 22 to 26. Here are her reflections about the course:
Christiane Seehausen on the dialogue workshop in Nairobi.
The Masterclass in Dialogue Facilitation facilitated by Ingunn Trosholmen and Thomas Dorg received great acclaim from the participants.
Report from the Nansen Center for Peace and Dialogue’s dialogue seminar on peace and security in Afghanistan (Norwegian only).
Lillehammer and Stolac, Bosnia and Herzegovina, High Schools have cooperated for years on student exchange.
The Master Class provides its participants with the tools and insight needed to start facilitating dialogue meetings in ongoing conflict. Through reflection and training the participants will be challenged to explore and develop their own capability in facilitation. The course will have a focus on the Nansen experience but will also reflect on alternative perspectives concerning dialogue methodology. Course Instructors, Ingunn Trosholmen and Thomas Dorg, are both experienced facilitators who will share their own experience with the course participants. The Master Class will have a practical-theoretical approach and build on contemporary conflict transformation theory by such capacities as John Paul Lederach, Steinar Bryn, Johan Galtung, Friedrich Glasl, and others.
