Field of work and experience
Kine is responsible for Nansen Peace Center's strategic work directed toward children and youth. She is a senior lecturer and has over 20 years of experience as a secondary school teacher in the Lillehammer school system, where she still works. Kine is passionate about teaching children and young people, and is particularly concerned with how literature can open up reflection, critical thinking, and conversations about democracy, citizenship, and freedom of expression. She is trained as a general teacher from OsloMet and has additional education in special education. Kine has also been project coordinator for Equal Opportunities, a collaboration between Nansen Peace Center, World Expression Forum, and Lillehammer Library on literature as a gateway to dialogue, reflection, and freedom of expression.
