Pockets of Peace

We welcome all our former course participants to the Nansen Center for Peace and Dialogue’s alumni network - Pockets of Peace!

On the International Day of Peace in 2021, the Nansen Center for Peace and Dialogue launched the alumni network «Pockets of Peace». This day is dedicated to strengthening the ideals of peace and it is in this spirit that we welcome everyone who has participated in our training courses to participate in this network.

The alumni network has been established because of requests from course participants and partners. Many have expressed a desire to create a space for continuity, follow-up, and the sharing of experiences. Here, the members themselves can shape the network in line with their wishes, needs and motivations.

We chose the name «Pockets of Peace» because we believe that peace often occurs in small «pockets» around the world – between people, cultures, and places. Together we can work to expand these pockets of peace.

In the future, we want this platform to function as a professional meeting place where we will offer regular webinars, workshops, and lectures. The goal is for the platform to be as participant-driven and interactive as possible, and for it to contribute to increased collaboration and network building between its members.
